On May 30–31, 2026, the NeuroSolve Consortium gathered in the city of Morogoro for its second Annual Meeting. This two-day event served as a crucial touchpoint for Principal Investigators, academic supervisors, and PhD candidates to realign their shared goals, share insights, and map out the next critical phases of the project .
The summit offered a comprehensive platform to evaluate recent achievements and refine the project’s roadmap. Discussions centered heavily on operational updates from the ongoing clinical trial, methodologies in implementation research, and the evolving academic milestones of the project’s early-career scientists.
Beyond the technical presentations, the Morogoro meeting emphasized the human element of this international cooperation. Hosting the event in Tanzania, home to some partner institutions, added significant local context to the global effort.
Attendees from across the consortium engaged in open dialogues, driven by the core mission: to address the burden of neurocysticercosis, implementing research results into real-world clinical practice, with the final aim to improve the health and quality of life of those affected — as well as their caregivers.

As the meeting concluded, the team left Morogoro with a reinforced clear strategy to advance sustainable, impactful solutions against this neglected tropical disease and to pursue the project’s objectives.
