NeuroSolve’s study team begun on 10th November the training for healthcare staff at <\/strong>Songwe study site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thereafter, they will proceed to the other sites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The main topics addressed during the trainings for healthcare staff are the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Introduction to T. solium<\/em>, Infection and Cysticercosis: Understanding the transmission cycle, prevention, control measures, and impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Identification of Endemic Areas: Protocols for mapping and identifying at-risk areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Preventive Chemotherapy for and treatment of Taeniasis: Strategies and safety considerations for administering medicines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Monitoring and Evaluation Framework: Diagnostic tests, intervention thresholds, and evaluation frameworks.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Case Management of Neurocysticercosis: Managing neurocysticercosis, including WHO guidelines and treatment resources. Epilepsy management update.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. One Health Approach: Integrating human health, animal health, and environmental strategies for T. solium <\/em>control.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Specific training on NeuroSolve’s clinical trial protocol.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
